MUZAFFARGARH: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said on Sunday that establishing a Seraiki province would help strengthen the country.

She was speaking at a ceremony where Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani distributed the keys of newly constructed homes for flood hit women at Benazir Shaheed Model Village.

She said that a Seraiki province was the demand of local people. She thanked Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for paying his fourth visit at her constituency for the cause of poor flood hit people.

Hina Rabbani Khar said the federal government ensured record work in the flood hit areas of South Punjab which had mitigated sufferings of flood affected people.

She said that the magnitude of the flood devastation was high and it was very difficult to rehabilitate the affected people.
