VEHARI: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab chapter on Saturday blamed the provincial government for rigging by-polls.

The Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers for interfering in the polling process out of fear of losing to the PPP.

Riaz showed his dissatisfaction over what he termed an ‘inadequate’ security measures during his visit to a polling station here today.

He alleged that the PML (N) workers resorted to firing and injured a PPP activist, adding that no case was registered yet.

He directed his party workers to remain calm and claimed that PPP would win the by-elections
