CHAKWAL, Feb 23: Burnt body of a person, who went missing forty days ago, was found lying in a drain, police said on Thursday.

Mohammad Anwar, 50, a resident of Amirpur Mangan village had been missing since Jan 14. A case of his abduction was registered with Dhudial police against Mohammad Shafique and his father Mohammad Nazir. The police arrested both the accused but they were set free by a local court due to lack of evidence. Mohammad Rafique, the son of Mohammad Anwar, said his father left home along with the accused Mohammad Shafique but did not return. Dhudial police started investigation after registering a murder case against both the accused.— Correspondent
