QUETTA: A man and a girl were killed and her mother was injured in landmine explosions in Sui and Kohlu areas on Monday night, police sources said.

A woman and her young daughter, going home in Mondrani Pat area of Sui in Dera Bugti district, stepped on an anti-personnel mine, causing it to explode.

The girl died and her mother was admitted to Sui hospital with serious wounds.

In Grisni area of Kohlu district, a young shepherd grazing his cattle in the area was killed in a similar incident. PIPELINE ATTACKED:

Gas supply to Pir Koh gas plant was disrupted when unidentified men blew up a pipeline on Monday night, Levies sources said.

They said militants planted explosive substance along the pipeline supplying gas to the purification plant from well No 15 of Pir Koh gas field and detonated it.

"A big portion of the pipeline was blown up in the powerful explosion," Levies officials said, adding that repair work on the pipeline would be started on esday. GUNNED DOWN

: Five people were shot dead in Quetta and Dera Murad Jamali late on Monday night, police sources said.

Gunmen opened fire on one Abdul Qadir in Balochi street area, killing him on the spot.

Soon after the incident unknown people gunned down two men in Khuda-i-Dad road area.

Mohammad Daud and Rehmanullah were sitting at a cold drink outlet when they came under fire.

The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained.

In Dera Murad Jamali, two people were passing through the main bazaar when unknown attackers shot them dead.

Police said an old feud was behind the double murder.
