SHIKARPUR, Feb 19: Villagers killed two bandits in Abdullah Buriro village in an exchange of fire early on Sunday morning.

The villagers fired on the gang of outlaws who had they entered the village, killing two of them. The two were identified as Jatt Jatoi and Ghulam Sarwar Jatoi.

According to police, Jatt Jatoi was a proclaimed dacoit wanted in more than 20 cases. The government had announced head money of Rs500,000 for him. The two bandits carried a Kalashnikov and a gun.

But Khanpur police claimed the dacoits were killed in an encounter with police.
