ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Rehman Malik on Wednesday said that the government was utilising all resources to ensure security of all the offices and staff of the United Nations in Pakistan.

He was talking to the Director for Regional Operations of UN Secretary General Mick Lorentzen, who called on him here to review the security of UN offices.

Rehman Malik directed interior secretary that steps should be taken to further enhance security of the UN offices and its staff and added that the Pakistani staff working in these offices should also follow the security instructions issued by Ministry of Interior.

The UN's Director for Regional Operations thanked the Government of Pakistan, especially the Interior Minister, for taking measures and ensuring foolproof security for the UN offices and its staff.
