
ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of National Accountability Bureau, Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari, tendered an unconditional apology before the Supreme Court on Monday and conceded that he had been kept in dark on issues relating to NRO cases and thus misadvised.
His counsel Shaig Usmani assured the court that his client had taken a number of steps and would take action against those responsible for non-implementation of the NRO verdict.
InitsJan10 order,the court had taken Admiral (retd) Bokhari to task for not initiating any case against those responsible for defying the NRO verdict. He also requested the court to take back the option that deals with the NAB chairman.
The court ordered the Nab chief to submit by Thursday an interim report enlisting steps the bureau had taken so far.
