Man, son shot dead

CHAKWAL, Dec 5: A man and his son were shot dead by unknown assailants, police said here on Monday.

Bashir Ahmad and his son Fakhar Abbas were going from their village Dhoke Murhali on a motorbike when they were ambushed by unknown attackers on the way. The attackers opened indiscriminate fire on them, killing both of them on the spot.

“We have registered a case and are trying to trace the killers”, Investigation Officer Mohammad Malik told Dawn. The family members however said that they did not have animosity with anyone. — Correspondent
