KARACHI: Abdul Razzaq-led Pakistan blind cricket team clinched the three-match T20 series against India 2-1 after winning the 3rd game by five wickets at the Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, India piled up a competitive 162 for three in their 20 overs.

Mohammad Jameel’s knock of 62, however, ensured Pakistan got over the line with two over to spare.

Jameel was declared the player of the tournament among the partially sighted cricketers taking part in the series, whereas India’s Jai Prakash bagged the award in the partially blind players’category.

The two teams will now play an ODI series that starts on November 22. and Razzaq remains cautious about Pakistan’s chances.

Pakistan captain Abdul Razzaq praised the performance of the tourists and was looking forward to the one-day series.

“The one-day series will be really challenging for us. They (India) have a lot of new players and it can be productive for them.”
