HYDERABAD, Nov 4: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Basheer Khan Qureshi has warned his party will launch a movement and stage a long march if its 'abducted' leaders are not freed and if ?operation against th party” is not stopped.
Speaking at a news conference here on Friday, Mr Qureshi alleged that an ?undeclared operation” was afoot against the JSQM and the party's workers were being picked up by secret agencies. ?Then they simply disappear.”Lives of Basheer Khaskheli, G.M. Abro, Anwar Depar and Noor Abro, who had disappeared after they were picked up from their homes in Karachi and Larkana, were in grave danger, he said.
?If nationalist activists are wanted by police in any crime, they should be produced in courts instead of being held incommunicado. If they are not released the party will stage sit-ins in front of the offices of DPOs and stage a long march,” Mr Qureshi warned.
He said that on the one hand ?terrorists have been given a licence to kill” while on the other ?non-violent followers of G.M. Syed” were being arrested and subjected to torture. ?This is state terrorism,” he added.
The JSQM leader accused Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Pakistan People's Party of fighting for their own interests and not giving a damn about the interests of Sindh.
