LAHORE: A decision was made on Sunday to stop the supply of gas to the industries of Punjab for three months during the winter, DawnNews reported.

According to sources, the decision was made due to an increase in the demand of gas and its shortfall, along with the problem of gas theft.

The current shortage is 400 MCF which will increase to 1000 MCF during the winter.

Currently, industries and CNG gas stations in Punjab are being supplied gas only four day in a week.

According to sources, a nine-month gas supply agreement has been made in the demand notice of the government, whereas the CNG stations will continue to be supplied with gas four days a week as per schedule.
