LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa has said that Punjab had faced the wrath of foreign plunderers who looted the resources of the land in the past but Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was the greatest plunderer of all.

Replying to the media men at the inaugural session of 3-day Round Table Conference on abolishing torture in the criminal justice system in Pakistan held under the auspices of Democratic Commission for Human Development (DCHD) at a local hotel on Thursday, he said the Sharif's of PML-N were the originators of corruption in the modern day politics of Pakistan.

The Punjab Governor said those who challenged the appointment of the Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) were, in fact, afraid of the exposition of their black deeds, adding those who allege corruption must also review their deeds.

About NAB cases, he said, NAB cases against all should be reopened so that the masses could know the truth about those who allege corruption.

“No one can prove a single penny corruption against President Asif Ali Zardari during his tenure as President”, Khosa responded.

The Governor said the elements wary of their defeat in the upcoming Senate as well as general elections in the country were trying to mislead the public, adding that the masses were politicaly aware enough to such elements accountable through the power of ballot in the next general elections.
