ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart Senator Raza Rabbani on Monday criticised Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for convening a national conference on dengue fever in Lahore and termed it against the spirit of the 18th Constitution Amendment.
The senator said that the health was a provincial subject.
He said the civil bureaucracy was against devolution of ministries to the provinces and was wrongly advising the prime minister to hold such national conferences “in violation of constitution.”
Rabbani said that the prime minister should use the constitutional forum of Council of Common Interests (CII), if he wanted to help the provinces on the provincial issues.
