KARACHI: A ship MV Hyderabad carrying 35,000 metric tons (MT) of urea has arrived and berthed at Gwadar Port on Monday, said a Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) official.

He said two more vessels MV Siam Topaz and MV Warnow Merker, each carrying 25,000 MT urea are scheduled to arrive at Gwadar Port on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.

The shipment arrived via MV Hyderabad comprises urea imported from M/s Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) under the Saudi Fund for Development.

This shipment is in addition to the 50,000 MT urea, already supplied by them in July this year, under the same arrangements, said the official.

The urea being carried by MV Siam Topaz and MV Warnow Merker is in accordance to TCP's second tender awarded to M/s Transammonia AG Switzerland and M/s Key Trade Ag. Switzerland.

The TCP official said M/s National Fertilizer Marketing Limited (NFML) will transport the imported urea from the port to subsequent sales points established for the farmers.
