KARACHI: Pakistan defeated Malaysia 3-2 in a match of the inaugural Men’s Asian Champions Trophy, which commenced into action in Ordos, China on Saturday.

Both the teams had scored two goals each at the breather.

The goal scorers for Pakistan were Abdul Haseem Khan, captain Mohammad Imran and vice-captain Shakeel Abbasi.

In another match, India beat China 5-0. The winners led the first half 2-0 with goals from Gurwinder Singh Chandi and Yuvraj Walmiki. In the second half, India scored through Rupinder Pal Singh, Rajpal Singh and V. Raghunath.
