ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Wednesday approved operation against target killers in nine areas of Karachi, DawnNews reported.

The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Gilani apprised the cabinet over the measures being taken to restore peace in Karachi and said the army could be called in if the government thought it necessary.

However, calling in the army was decided as the Sindh government’s call.
