NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 22: The luxury of cellular phone landed two sisters into physical, moral and social problems.

Two daughters of a primary teacher got friendly with two men over phone. Later, the men persuaded the girls to elope with them on the plea that the girls’ family won’t agree to this marriage. The sisters took with them 16 tola gold, Rs7,000 cash and some clothes.

The girls were kept in illegal confinement throughout their ordeal starting from July 4. They were raped and thrashed during the period and moved to different locations.

Meanwhile, their parents visited Dahar and Chandia tribesmen houses and were given the girls’ custody on the intervention of Murshid of Dahars.

The two sisters submitted an application before the Justice of Peace and Sessions Judge Naushahro Feroze on Monday with an appeal to direct SHO Moro to register an FIR against the men and people involved in their ordeal.

Both the girls appeared before the superintendent sessions court and submitted a joint application affixing their photographs thereon, requesting for letter to surgeons for their medical check-up. The application was admitted.
