ISLAMABAD: Test cricketer Danish Kaneria's court hearing has been pushed back a month after he failed to produce a transcript of the British police inquiry that cleared him of criminal charges last year.

Kaneria's lawyer Farogh Naseem told The Associated Press on Thursday that his client had been unable to get the transcript of an Essex police inquiry into allegations that he was involved in spot-fixing during a county match, which the Pakistan court had requested.

Kaneria is yet to be cleared by an integrity committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The court has now asked the PCB to get legal advice on whether it can get the transcript.

The court has set Sept. 27 as the next date of the hearing.
