Addressing a public gathering at Hazar Khawani area, he said that Awami National Party would sweep the next local bodies elections on the basis of its performance.

He claimed that leadership of the party made efforts and worked hard for the betterment of people of the country in general and of the province in particular.

The senior minister said that he would continue to serve the people of Peshawar, especially of his constituency as they had been reposing confidence in him for the last two decades.

He said that provincial government was facing a lot of problems owing to the ongoing wave of militancy but it didn't stopped launching development schemes. He said that government initiated different uplift projects throughout the province for betterment of people.

Mr Bilor told the gathering that development schemes worth Rs5 million were launched in every union council of his constituency. He said that the biggest challenge before the government was maintenance of peace in the province. “The provincial government has successfully achieved this goal,” he claimed.

He said that efforts were made for enhancing the share of province in the National Finance Commission award and releasing amount of net hydel profit. The struggle of the government bore fruits and the province's share was increased under both the heads, he added.

The senior minister said that government wanted to improve the living standard of people of the province. “For this purpose efforts are underway. The people will start reaping the fruit of 18th Amendment through utilisation of province's own resources,” he added.

He said that passage and implementation of 18th Amendment was a landmark achievement that would play a significant role in development of the country and the province.

On the occasion, Mr Bilour also inaugurated streets pavement and health related schemes in the area.—APP
