ISLAMABAD: At least 12 people, including six women, were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a passenger bus in the Toba Tek Singh district on Tuesday.

According to police, a car carrying 12 people was on its way to Faisalabad when it collided with a passenger coach. Eleven people, including six women and three children, died on the spot, while a girl succumbed to her injuries in the Toba Tek Singh hospital, a private television channel reported.

All van passengers remained unhurt.
