PESHAWAR, June 4: Four persons, including a woman and a policeman, were killed in different areas of Peshawar on Saturday.

The killed policeman identified as Yar Khan, a resident of Matani Kokikhel area, was posted at Badbher police station. He was on his way home when unidentified persons shot him dead.

An official of the police station said that efforts were made to ascertain if he had any enmity. A case against undignified accused was registered at the police station.

In another incident, a mother of four children was found dead inside the residence of her brother at Sufi Mohalla in Yakatoot area.

Police quoting Jahanzeb, who introduced himself as brother of the deceased woman Sameena Noor, said that she had developed difference with her husband Arbaz Khan and had come to his home.

The complainant said that she did not want to return to her home and committed suicide.

At Hayatabad, two tribesmen were found dead inside a bungalow in the limits of Tatara police station.

An official said that the deceased were identified as Lateef Shah and Daulat Shah, both residents of Khyber Agency. They were residing in the bungalow located at Phase-6 without other family members. The bodies were shifted to local mortuary, but no one had so for contacted police to receive them. A source said that the deceased were personnel of Khasadar Force and they had been kidnapped by unidentified persons but police avoided giving further details.— Bureau Report
