LAKKI MARWAT, May 16: Police claimed to have arrested six outlaws in separate raids and seized illegal weapons.

An official said that a police party of Shaheed Haibat Ali Khan police station of Darra Pezu Town headed by SHO Abdul Saboor arrested two proclaimed absconders identified as Sabz Ali and Hasan Khan during a surprise raid in Wanda Jogi.

He said that another police contingent of Dadiwala police station led by SHO Mashaal Khan held an outlaw Mir Aslam during a routine patrol in Landiwah area. Separately, ASI Muneem of Lakki city along with police personnel arrested three criminals namely Rozi Khan, Hayatullah and Yaqoob Khan, he maintained.

He said that the arrested outlaws were wanted by police cases of heinous nature. He added that police also recovered illegal weapons and contrabands from the possession of anti-social elements and registered cases against them under the relevant sections of law in the concerned police stations.

PROTEST CAMPAIGN: The Jamaat-i-Islami has threatened to launch a protest campaign against levying of loading and unloading tax by the tehsil municipal administration of Naurang Town.

The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held here the other day. JI district ameer Maulana Malik Meer Shah chaired the meeting.

The JI leaders said on the occasion that the civic bodies should provide basic amenities and better municipal services to the residents instead of bringing them under the burden of taxes.
