ISLAMABAD: Leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and President of Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) in Indian occupied Kashmir Zafar Akbar Butt has said that use of brute force by the authorities cannot suppress Kashmiris' liberation movement.
Zafar Akbar Butt, while addressing party activists, who had come to welcome the release of their leader from illegal detention, said that the people of Kashmir had rendered matchless sacrifices for securing right of self-determination and the movement would be taken to its logical end despite all odds, Kashmir Media Service reported.
He strongly denounced the continued violations of human rights in the territory and urged the international community to impress upon New Delhi to give up its unrealistic and rigid stance towards the Kashmir dispute and resolve it in accordance with Kashmirs’ aspirations.
The APHC leader said that Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory could not prevent the people from their just right to self-determination as the Kashmiris had pledged to get rid of Indian bondage.
Zafar Akbar Butt demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in the jails of India and the occupied territory.
He also appealed the world community and international human rights organisations including Amnesty International and Asia Watch to send their teams to Jammu and Kashmir for reviewing violations of human rights and plight of political prisoners in jails.
