WASHINGTON: Finance Minister, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh had a meeting with World Bank President, Robert Zoellick and discussed development partnership with the financial institution.

Dr Shaikh apprised the Bank president of Islamabad's efforts to reform various sectors of the national economy, achieve macro-economic stability and bring economic prosperity to the people.

Robert Zoellick welcomed the Pakistani finance minister as they exchanged views on economic matters during the semi-annual IMF-World Bank meetings.

The finance minister appreciated the World Bank for being one of the leading development partners of Pakistan.
