QUETTA, April 13: Two policemen were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly subjecting a lady health technician to gang-rape. Their two accomplices, however, escaped.

“Four policemen gang-raped a lady health technician in her residential quarters within Washak district headquarters hospital,” an official of the district administration said.

The Washak District Health Officer told reporters that he had lodged an FIR against the four policemen.

He said the policemen forcibly entered the house of the female employee of the hospital.The arrested policemen were identified as Jameel Khan and Nawaz.

Relatives of the victim told media that they were facing pressure from local politicians and colleagues of the policemen to withdraw the case.

It was also learnt that the victim belonged to the Christian community.
