LAHORE: Leadership of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) met with Pakistan Peoples’ party (PPP) leader Jahangir Badar on Saturday and invited him to take part in their upcoming rally on Sunday, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media after the meeting, Jahangir Badar said that Zulfiqar Mirza was on leave and it was his democratic right to express his opinions.

MQM leader Farooq Satar hoped that the next elections would be fair and free and that his party’s presence in Punjab would be beneficial for the residents of the province.

Sattar hoped that their invitation would be accepted by the PPP leadership and they would participate along with their party workers to make Sunday’s rally successful.
