Cricket diplomacy provided a chance to end communication gap between Pakistan and India: Rehman Malik.—AP photo

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Friday that India has provided the investigation report on Samjhota Express blast to Pakistan and both countries have agreed to talk on Kashmir and other pending issues on equal basis.

Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House, Malik said dialogue between Pakistan and India was the only way forward to address all outstanding issues.

He said cricket diplomacy provided a chance to end communication gap between the two countries.

Talks between the prime ministers are important for both the nations, he added.

Replying to a question, Malik said that on the direction of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani the recent hike in prices of petroleum product would be reviewed soon to provide relief to common man.

He also condemned the attack on Maulana Fazlur Rehman, adding that foolproof security has been provided to him.
