KOHAT, March 22: Brother of an MNA and his two accomplices have been booked for kidnapping two tribesmen, who reached their homes after 18 days of captivity on Tuesday and recorded statements before a local court, police said.

The Ustarzai police said that two tribesmen, Saadullah and Muhammad Wali, were kidnapped along with their car on March 4 from Ustarzai. Their car was found abandoned a few days back at some distance from Orakzai Agency, the police said.

Nawab Khan, brother of one of the victims, had earlier accused Najul Hassan, the brother of MNA Jawadul Hassan from Orakzai Agency, and his accomplices Ameen Azam and Noor Azam, residents of Baramand Khel area, for the kidnapping under section 164.

Upon inquiry, the officials said that the police was devising a strategy to put hands on the 'influential persons' because it had been witnessed that in such cases the victims succumb to pressure and enter into compromise with the accused. GANG BUSTED:

The Kohat police busted a gang of car lifters and recovered the car of Nadeem Daultana, brother of PML-N MNA Tehmina Daultana, in a raid near Bannu railway crossing here on Tuesday.

Mr Nadeem, who is also the uncle of PPP parliamentary secretary Azeem Daultana, had lost his car (LE-8458) on March 22 in the jurisdiction of police station Laddan in Vehari district of Punjab.

Giving details, district police officer Mubarik Zeb Khan told media persons that the gang was planning to shift the car to the nearby tribal area of Darra Adam Khel for handing it over to a buyer.

He said that a police team raided a den near Bannu railway crossing and arrested the accused car lifter, Sher Hamza alias Tor, who belonged to Darra Adam Khel.
