QUETTA, Feb 18: The Frontier Corps personnel have arrested 17 suspects and seized illegal weapons from them during a search operation in different areas of Dera Bugti district.

Official sources said on Friday that security personnel, after a recent surge in attacks on gas pipelines and wells, launched a search operation in Pir Koh and Zangi Nullah areas, taking into custody 17 suspects.

“Acting on a tip-off, security forces rounded up 17 suspects and recovered illegal arms and ammunition from them,” official sources said, adding that the suspects were involved in sabotage activities.—Staff Correspondent
