ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday allowed former minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi protective bail until February 21 in the Haj corruption case, DawnNews reported.

However, the court refused to grant pre-arrest bail to Kazmi.

Kazmi was further directed to appear in the trial court on February 21 which will then decide if he is to be granted bail.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had allowed protective bail to Kazmi against whom an arrest warrant had been issued by an Islamabad district court for his alleged involvement in the Haj scandal.

LHC Chief Justice Ejaz Chaudhry, after allowing the bail to Kazmi, had directed him to approach the trial court until February 17 (today).
