WASHINGTON: The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which runs the world’s largest polio eradication campaign, is launching an anti-polio drive in Pakistan from Jan 24, the group’s co-chairman announced in a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday.

The government has already finalised a national emergency plan for polio eradication and has set up a national task force to monitor and quarterly evaluate its progress. ?
