LAHORE, Dec 29: Inspector General of National Highways & Motorway police Dr Wasim Kausar launched on Wednesday three-day anti-polio drive by administering polio drops to children at the N-5 Central Zonal office near Thokar Niaz Baig. According to a press release, the NH&MP has launched the vaccination campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Unicef.

Dr Kausar said the NH&MP officials got training from various teaching hospitals of the country to address some health issues like polio vaccination, trauma handling and first-aid help to the victims in any emergency situation.

He said the NH&MP had administered vaccination to 250,000 children in the last seven polio drives. Its efforts to eradicate polio had been recognised and appreciated worldwide, he said.

DIG Syed Ibne Hussain informed the IG about various camps organised by the NH&MP to vaccinate the children during the campaign.
