ISLAMABAD, Dec 5: Twelve cases have been registered against people in various police stations for violating Amplifier Act, a police spokesman said here on Sunday.

Two cases each have been registered against Margalla, Aabpara, Bhara Kahu, Industrial Area and Secretariat police stations.

Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appealed to the people to implement the act.

He has also directed all SDPOs and SHOs to ensure that the act is implemented and action is taken against the violators.

He also directed the police officials to hold meetings with different clerics and urge them to follow this act.—APP
