GHALANAI/KALAYA/ KOHAT, Nov 13: Two security personnel and 10 militants were killed in fighting in Mohmand and Orakzai tribal regions while two persons were killed and as many children sustained bullet injuries when armed men opened firing in Hangu bazaar on Saturday.

Sources said two security personnel were killed in exchange of fire with militants in tehsil Safi of Mohmand tribal region. Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack on the security forces, saying they took one of the bodies with them.

Three civilians were injured when helicopter gunships and artillery shelled militant hideouts in tehsil Safi. Sources said the ground forces also started search operation in region.

In Wali Kor, a cannon shell Ten militants, two security men killed in Fata clashes hit the house of Latif, injuring two inmates including a child.

Ten militants were killed and three security personnel were injured in exchange of fire in Toor Kanrhi of Orakzai Agency on Saturday.

Sources said that militants attacked a convoy of security forces, going from Ghaljo to Thaal, at Toor Kanrhi area. Three security personnel including Sadiq, Azam Khan and Havaldar Babar Khan were injured in the attack.

Security forces retaliated and killed 10 militants. Three militants were injured in the retaliatory firing. The injured personnel were taken to CMH Kohat. Later, security forces launched search operation in Toor Kanrhi and Fareed Garhi areas.

Two persons were killed and as many children sustained bullet injuries when armed men opened firing in Hangu bazaar on Saturday.

Hangu police said that Sajid Jameel was allegedly killed by Najeeb and Waheed, residents of Zanki Banda area of Hangu district over property dispute. They opened firing on him in the busy bazaar in which two children Abdullah and Naqeebullah were injured and taken to hospital.

In another incident Jaffar Khan was allegedly gunned down by Rasool Khan, Hamid Gul, Wahid, Askar, Akbar and Hazrat.

Hangu police registered separate cases against the accused, who managed to escape. Meanwhile, four Frontier Constabulary personnel, killed in November 11 Karachi blast, were buried with full official honour in Orakzai Agency.

An official press statement issued here on Saturday said that the dead bodies of four FC men, Hamid Ali, Syed Khalil, Wajid Hussain and Ibraheem Khan were brought in a helicopter. Then they were shifted to Said Khel area of Orakzai Agency where they were laid to rest with full official honour.
