QUETTA, Nov 5 Professor Khursheed Akhtar Ansari, chairman of the Library Science Department at Balochistan University, was gunned down by militants here on Thursday night.

Prof Ansari was going to the mosque from his home near Tin town, on Kasi Road, when armed men on a motorbike opened fire on him. He died on the spot.
