KHAIRPUR, April 28: The PML-F chief, Pir Pagara, has said that politicians like the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and the Chaudhry brothers were creations of the army. Talking to newsmen at the residence of district Naib Nazim Bibi Irshad Jilani here on Wednesday night, Mr Pagara said that the late Khan Bahadur Mohammad Ayub Khuhro harmed the cause of Sindh and failed to give the status deserved by Sindhi bureaucrats, Sindhi people and culture, thereby depriving them of their basic rights.

Due to this mistake of Mr Khuhro, bureaucracy of other provinces, particularly Punjab, gained strength.

Referring to what he called a deal between the government and the PPP, he said only President Gen Pervez Musharraf had the power to make a deal.

He said that the Chaudhry brothers’ politics was to get loans waived off.

About bifurcation of Khairpur district, he said that if the number of talukas were further increased, then any taluka could be made a district.

Replying to a question, he said there was no law and order as influential people were providing shelter to protect criminals.

He said that degrees are obtained at gunpoint and jobs were achieved through wrong means, and added that if this situation continued society would witness a downfall.

Answering a question about the likelihood of an alliance between his party and the PPP, he said that if it was done properly in Sindh, then both parties would save a lot in election expenses.
