Karate squad for Islamic Games

ISLAMABAD, March 6: Eight players and three officials were selected on Sunday to represent Pakistan in the karate competitions of the first-ever Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Saudi Arabia on April 8-20.

The squad was announced after trials held at Pakistan Sports Complex.

As many as 32 countries are likely to feature in the karate competitions of first-ever Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in four cities of Saudi Arabia.

Besides karate, Pakistan will also participate in athletics, swimming, taekwondo, basketball, football, handball, volleyball, tennis and table tennis.

Squad: Ghulam Ali, Farman Ahmed, Khalid Noor, Shaukat Ali, Sodagar Masih, Abdul Raziq, Humayun Mustafa, Agha Muhammad, Muhammad Jahangir (manager), Ahmed Safi (coach), Zahoor Ahmed (assistant coach).-APP
