RAWALPINDI, Aug 13: A man was found murdered in his house in Adiala village while a boy was killed in a road accident in the jurisdiction of Banni police on Wednesday.

Muhtaj Hussain Shah, an employee at GHQ, was found with his throat cut. Postmortem examination and police reports suggested that Muhtaj had been slaughtered last night.

Police said the murder came to light early Wednesday morning when Muhtaj’s brother Zulfiqar Ali Shah came to his house to take him along to their office as both worked for the same organisation. After failing to get a response from inside, Zulfiqar Shah managed to enter into the house and found his brother dead on his bed.

Saddar Barooni police were informed who arrived at the scene of the crime and shifted the body to District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem. The police are still trying to trace the killer and find out the motive behind the murder.

In another incident, a teenager was killed after being hit by a car in the jurisdiction of Banni police. Awais Ijaz Butt was standing near his motorcycle when he was hit by a recklessly-driven car. The injured victim was being taken to the hospital but he died on the way.Police said the car driver was yet to be arrested. However the vehicle was impounded by the police.
