KARACHI, Aug 2: The bullet-riddled body of another young woman, second in the last three days, was found at a desolate place in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Saturday, police said.

The victim, wearing purple-flowered qamees and green shalwar, was moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where medico-legal sources said she had received two bullets in the chest from a point-blank range as they pierced her torso.

They said the victim appeared to be in her late teens or early 20s. The sources said the chemical examination report would determine whether the victim was criminally assaulted.

Gulistan-i-Jauhar police said the woman, who remained unidentified, was killed somewhere else by the culprits who threw her body in Block-7 as there were tyre marks leading to the place.

They said a case (326/08) against unknown culprits was registered on behalf of the state and the body was kept at Edhi’s morgue for want identification.
