12 die in bus-trailer collision

BAHAWALPUR, Oct 21: At least 12 people were killed and 25 others injured when a speeding bus collided with a stationary trailer near Ahmedpur East early Sunday morning.

The bus (FDO-4037) was going to Lahore from Sadiqabad. Near Basti Chachan it crashed into a stationary trailer (LSA-9480) as the driver lost control over the steering due to overspeeding. Nine passengers died on the spot, three expired in the Victoria Hospital, while 25 others received injuries.
