KARACHI: Rear admirals promoted

KARACHI, July 19: Two rear admirals of the Pakistan Navy were on Thursday elevated to the rank of vice admirals. A press release issued by the Naval Headquarters says that the Ministry of Defence notified the promotion with immediate effect of Rear Admiral Noman Bashir and Rear Admiral Saleem Ahmed Meenai to the rank of vice admiral.

Vice Admiral Bashir was commissioned in the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy in June, 1973, while Vice Admiral Meenai was commissioned on December 1, 1972, in the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy.
