Palijo hurt in road accident

KHAIRPUR, June 23: Chief of the Awami Tehrik, Rasool Bux Palijo, his driver and other car passengers, were injured in a road accident on Saturday.

Reports said that Rasool Bux Palijo, Zahida Shaikh, leader Sindhiani Tahreek and Jami Chandio were on way to Thul from Hyderabad.

A Karachi-bound passenger bus hit their car on the National Highway near Shah Ji Machine in the jurisdiction of police station Ranipur.

Rasool Bux Palijo, Zahida Shaikh and driver Mir Mohammad Bahlam were injured.

They were taken to rural health centre Ranipur from where doctors referred them to Sukkur hospital.

The driver of the vehicle involved in accident fled the scene in his bus.

INJURED: Some unidentified armed men opened fire on one Dili Jan Mari in Labour Colony, on Saturday. Dili Jan Mari was injured while the assailants escaped on their motorcycle.

The injured was taken to the Civil Hospital. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
