ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued its written decision on the ban on sheesha cafes, prompting the Islamabad district administration to intensify its ongoing crackdown.
In this regard, the deputy commissioner directed all assistant commissioners to ensure full compliance with the orders.
The district administration said operations against sheesha cafes were being conducted daily and a large number of cafes had been sealed and their equipment seized.
The administration said the crackdown would be further intensified following the issuance of the written verdict. Enforcement teams are carrying out operations across all areas without discrimination, including E-11 and Bahria Civic Centre.
The deputy commissioner also ordered registration of cases against sheesha cafe owners who failed to cooperate with the administration during enforcement operations.
The district administration said the measures were part of its ongoing efforts to implement the court’s orders.
It reiterated that operations would continue on a daily basis and that all relevant areas would remain covered by the enforcement drive.
