LAHORE: A young girl opted for suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home here in Iqbal Town on Wednesday.
A police official said the 28-year-old girl (A) ended her life owing to the reasons which are yet to be established.
He said the police took her mobile phone in custody for forensic analysis which would help them ascertain the cause of her death.
The official said they were also recording statements of her family members.
Apparently, the girl took the extreme step due to some domestic issues, he said adding that further investigations were under way.
