HYDERABAD: Syed Shakir Ali Jafri, a former president of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) passed away in a Karachi hospital after protracted illness, according to his family. He was in his late 80s.
He headed the HCCI in 1990s. Jafri was a veteran industrialist and owned flour mills. He was also the author of two books.
