SWAT: Three people, including a man and his daughter, were killed and seven others were injured when a passenger vehicle plunged into a ravine in the Shaldhera area of Manglawar, on the outskirts of Mingora, on Friday.

Three of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the deceased were identified as Mohammad Shireen, his daughter, Sameera Bibi, and Akhtar Ali.

Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to the trauma centre for further treatment.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old boy drowned while bathing in the Swat River in the Dadhara area. The deceased was identified as Waqas.

Rescue personnel and local divers recovered his body and shifted it to Kabal Hospital.
