KARACHI: After achieving $4.5 billion in IT product exports in FY26, up from $3.4bn in FY25, Pakistani small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are actively expanding into key Asia-Pacific hubs such as Japan and Singapore, moving away from traditional US and European markets.
In addition to the usual software development services, high-growth sectors — including Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and gaming — are scaling rapidly on the global stage.
This growth is supported by Pakistan’s young, cost-competitive, and highly skilled workforce, which continues to serve international clients at scale, according to a press release.
“This strong momentum reflects sustained global demand for Pakistan’s digital services and highlights a growing industry focus on building resilient, multi-market revenue streams,” said Nagesh Devata, SVP and Head of APAC at Payoneer.
