LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday sentenced two alleged members of a banned outfit to five-year rigorous imprisonment each in two separate cases of possessing explosive material.

Judge Malik Abid Hussain, announcing the verdict, also ordered confiscation of the properties of both convicts.

The convicts, Abdul Baais and Kaleemullah, were produced before the court for the announcement of the decision.

The prosecution said the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Lahore, had registered separate cases against the accused persons in 2025. Later, the CTD submitted separate challans before the court.

A public prosecutor presented evidence against the accused persons during the trial.

The prosecution alleged that explosive material was recovered from both accused. It also alleged that they had links with a banned outfit and were involved in terrorist activities.

After the charges proved, the judge awarded them jail terms.
