LAHORE: The Punjab government on Monday extended the ban on flying drones outdoors across the province for 30 days.

The ban extended from June 25 onwards.

An order issued by the Punjab home department says an immediate and complete ban has been imposed on the outdoor flying of drones across the province for 30 days. It exempted the ban on use of small drones for coverage of indoor activities, such as in halls or marquees.

The order said the safe usage of such drones in a limited and confined indoor area for events/functions shall be the responsibility of the organiser.

Furthermore, this ban shall not be applicable to the use of drones by intelligence and law enforcement agencies.
