UAE Deputy PM and FM Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed has made a spree of phone calls to the foreign ministers in the region to discuss the “repercussions of the treacherous terrorist attack that targeted an electrical generator outside the internal perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant”.

The UAE FM spoke with his counterparts from Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Morocco, Egypt and Bahrain, the foreign ministry said, adding that the ministers “strongly condemned this treacherous terrorist attack”.

The ministers, the UAE’s ministry said, affirmed the “full and legitimate right of the United Arab Emirates to respond to these attacks in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty and national security, the safety of its lands and citizens, residents, and visitors, in accordance with international law”.
